Royal LePage Petite Fondo - Sunday - 13 Sep 2015

The CVCCo will again be supporting this great event.

The Royal LePage Petite Fondo will raise funds for Lilli House - our local Women's Shelter.

There will be a choice of a 35k (easy country ride), a 75k (Rambling ride, some hills on quiet country roads), and a short family ride. There will be two rest points for the 35k & 75K rides at Beaufort Winery and Blue Moon Winery. Here you will be able to take in the scenery and sample some of their great wines.

There will also be pre-ride coffee and snacks and a post ride BBQ.

All the information can be found at this link -- http://www.petitefondo.ca/

Bike to Work Week - 25 May - Monday to Friday

The BTWCV cickoff is "Bike with Elected Officials". The start is at Colurtenay City Hall Celebration Station on Monday, May 25 at 8:45 am (same place as last year).

There will be a "Giant Celebration Station" at Simms Park on Wed, May 27 between 3-5:30 pm. The CVCCo will be there showing the latest draft of the new cycling map. There will be lots more as well as refreshments.

We encourage people to register for the event, it is really bike for transporation, so cycling to shop or other utilitarian purpose counts, it doesn't have to be to work. All information about the vents, how to register and record your ride can be found at: www.biketowork.ca/comox-valley .
